Piano Solo - Themes and Variations

​​This work exemplifies my research in using compositional fragments in an improvisational setting, taking the classical theme and variation format as a template for short, often monothematic pieces. The compositions themselves draw on ideas coming mainly from modern classical music, and are alternated with more melodic, free-flowing interludes.

My experience in playing classical concerts in solo and in duo with many musicians, such as Amedeo Verniani, Irene Maggio, Anne-Marie Faniel and others, as well as having played with OIDA (Orchestra Instabile d'Arezzo), enriches my solo performances. I am a resident artist of Settimana Musicale di Murlo since 2015, in which I give a recital every year.
